Four weeks of kindness – EXAMPLES
Community Kindness – show kindness by doing something for the greater good
1. Donate to a local nonprofit agency (homeless, food banks, etc.) donate items, money,
etc.
2. Volunteer (physical location or online example: United Way)
3. Send a note or card to someone in your neighborhood, senior facility, co-worker etc.
4. Neighborhood clean up
5. Show appreciation to teachers, school faculty, front line, essential workers, postal,
amazon, UPS employees by purchasing their lunch, note of appreciation, leave a small
snack
6. Artwork – kids, adults draw a picture showing what kindness means to you
People Kindness – Just be kind. It’s the little things we might think don’t matter, but you can
actually put a smile (even though we can’t see it ) on someone’s face.
1. You before me – is there something I can do for you? Assist a co-worker with a project,
maybe help a friend by dropping their child off at school, pick up a meal for family or
friend
2. Pay it forward – purchase someone’s grocery in line with you; drive thru
3. Just be kind: Smile with your eyes, say hello, have a good day
4. Hold the door for someone
5. Say hello
6. Appreciation note
7. Learn to control traffic rage
8. Do something special with family – Zoom chats, write a note, etc.
Social Media Kindness (Online Kindness)
1. Change profile picture to Be Kind logo
2. Share a positive quote
3. Change your email signature line to “In Kindest Regards”, In Kindness, add a kindness
tag line
4. Say something nice on someone’s post
5. Start a kindness group (group chat, community group,)
6. Share something positive from the news
Self-Kindness – Did you forget about yourself? Sometimes we are so concerned with helping
others that we go lacking in what’s good for us physically and emotionally.
1. Treat yourself to dinner
2. Try a new recipe
3. Do something you enjoy
4. Read a good book
5. Enjoyable physical activity (go to the park, ride a bike, go hiking, etc.)
6. Compliment yourself
7. Pamper me day (home spa, facial, rest, meditation, etc.)
