Employment Opportunities
We strive to create a culture where our core values (Excellence, Compassion, Collaboration, Integrity, and Equity) are reflected in all of our individual and collective efforts to carry out the mission and vision of Project R.E.S.T. These values guide all of our agency’s actions. They are considered in every decision we make. These values provide the underpinning to help us liberate our community from all forms of domestic violence and sexual assault. Choosing to specialize in domestic and sexual violence isn’t an easy decision, but making a difference in the lives of individuals and families is meaningful and can provide a sense of purpose. If you are interested in joining our team, we invite you to view our current employment opportunities on Indeed.
Application and/or resume should be sent to:

Volunteer Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us at Project R.E.S.T. We have a rich history of providing outstanding services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We work within the local community and help lead efforts to create a violence-free society. We are excited to invite you to join us in this work!
Project R.E.S.T. has two large umbrella groups of volunteer opportunities: Direct Services and In-Direct Services.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
- Domestic Violence Hotline
- Sexual Assault Hotline
- Shelter Advocacy
- Child & Youth
- Office Assistance/Clerical
- Community Awareness
- Fundraising

Direct Service programs offer volunteers the opportunity to work directly with survivors and their children. All of these programs involve trauma-informed crisis intervention work. Due to the nature of our work and those we serve, we do require prospective volunteers to meet certain qualifications.
Application requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Complete an application
- Consent to a background check
- Sign a confidentiality agreement
- Complete a 25 hour trauma-informed training program (in-person and online)
In-Direct Service programs do not work directly with survivors, but offer volunteers the opportunity to interact with community members and donors. Due to the nature of our work and those we serve, we do require prospective volunteers to meet certain qualifications.
Application requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Complete an application
- Consent to a background check
- Sign a confidentiality agreement

Project R.E.S.T. Temporary Hours of Operation beginning April 3, 2023!
Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. / Friday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
We regret to inform you that the Project R.E.S.T. Thrift Store will permanently close this year!
Effective Monday, April 3, 2023, we will only be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am – 4 pm until further notice.
We will no longer accept donations (used clothing, furniture, household items etc.) and ask you not to leave any donations at our door or on the dock.
We thank all of you who, over the last 30 years, have supported our store and its mission, and we hope you will continue to shop with us while supplies last. All proceeds continue to support our trauma-informed programs to help victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
Check out our 2023 Project R.E.S.T. Wish List items needed for specific programs. We will be updating this list soon and adding information for our Domestic Violence Closet.
